THE 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS

Welcome to our 12 Days of Christmas Tour!

I will be sharing photos, traditions, memories and holiday adventures over the coming weeks leading up to Christmas.
December 1st begins a tradition the kids love.  Each evening we sit by the fire and open a door on the advent box, share the treats inside, and read from a sweet book called Advent Storybook.  It sets the mood for both the fun and the meaning of Christmas.

Tiny hands reach in to pull out a treat.
Candles are lit, our collection of Christmas books is pulled out.
It's a nice way to end the day.

Hi Misty!
I loved these magical days leading up to Christmas ~
Advent calendars have a way of slowing things down and helping us to pause each evening for prayer, family time and a few treats too.

My tree isn't up yet ... lately we've put it up over Thanksgiving weekend, which is so early ~ but ~ with my oldest daughter living 2 hrs away, it was the only time before Christmas we would be all together.
This year, with my father's surgery ~ we weren't able to bring up the tree ~ or even make room for it yet!
Maybe this weekend! I do have my "tall and skinny" heart tree upstairs ~ it's ready to go because I never quite pack it away ;o)
*Have a Merry, Merry Weekend*
